I had the privilege of curating monumental artworks for PJP Multiplex in Ranchi, where cinematic heritage and artistic innovation converge. The venue celebrates storytelling through diverse creations: a striking PJP logo mural, evocative tributes to Michael Jackson and Amitabh Bachchan from Deewar, and Gabbar Singh’s iconic presence from Sholay. Bollywood’s grandeur unfolds in portraits inspired by classics like Mughal e Azam, Jodha Akbar, and Bajirao Mastani, alongside a raw metal mural of Marilyn Monroe and a vibrant installation of guitars set against cassette mosaics.
Towering round columns became vibrant canvases. Majestic peacock murals shimmer with iridescent feathers, while delicate Japanese cherry blossoms evoke renewal and serenity. Dynamic metal sculpture honors Ranchi’s beloved M.S. Dhoni! (Taking a Reference from his image between India and Pakistan during the ICC T20 World Cup in 2007)—capturing his humility, pride, and enduring bond with his hometown. Tribal Gond artwork adds a touch of cultural belief, reminding viewers that good images bring good fortune. With heartfelt gratitude to Shri Prakash Jha for his trust, vision, and seamless collaboration, this project remains a celebration of cinema, art, and community.
