“I could initiate thought process on actively facilitating, art and cultural exchange between India and Japan with Mr. Saurabh Shah – CEO of UBCSC & Advisor to City Of Yokohama, Mr. GOTO Masaru, Director for Asia and Oceania, International Affairs Bureau, City of Yokohama, Mr. SHINAGAWA Masafumi, Chief Representative of the Office of the City of Yokohama Representative to Southeast and South Asia DIPROM Japan Desk, Department of Industrial Promotion Seminar on the topic ‘Business Opportunities in City of Yokohama, Japan’ in the Board Room at World Trade Centre, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai on 21-1-24.

The interactions between India and Japan can be traced back to ancient times when Buddhist monks from India travelled to Japan, carrying not only spiritual teachings but also cultural and artistic influences. This early exchange laid the foundation for a lasting connection that continues to thrive today.

I hope today’s interaction opens up exchange programs encompassing a wide range of activities, from language classes and art workshops, art residencies, classical music performances and film festivals.

Stay connected!
