I had the honor of witnessing an unforgettable evening that celebrated the inauguration of an outstanding showcase on Indian cinema on 30th April 2026.
The photographic exhibition, “Lens & Legacy: Bollywood in Focus”, held at the National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai, beautifully commemorated the city’s distinction as a UNESCO Creative City of Films. Through evocative frames, it captured the rich and evolving journey of Indian cinema while paying heartfelt tribute to the eminent personalities whose artistry has shaped generations. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Honorable Governor of Maharashtra, Shri Jishnu Dev Varma, and graced by Minister of IT & Culture Mr. Ashish Shelar, along with the legendary Bollywood actress Hema Malini. The tributes to legendary singer Asha Bhosle ji and Bollywood actor Dharmendra ji were profoundly moving, adding emotional depth to the evening.
